Apply your design skills and creativity to a new career in Web Graphic Design. Certification is awarded at the successful completion of a final project, weekly classroom assignments, and a demonstrated understanding of the skills needed to be a web designer. Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of each course to receive a program certificate. At the completion of the program, students will have a website to present to employers. Prerequisites include having a good understanding of directory and file structure and a working knowledge of Windows.

The first of four courses that must be taken in sequence:

Photoshop for the Web

  • October 3 to November 21, 2017 (Tues.), 5:30-8:40 PM
  • University Center, Aberdeen, Room 125

Learn to use Photoshop to create high-quality, low-bandwidth graphics for the web. Students create images, use the toolbox and tool options palette, create layers, work with paint and text tools, and learn color and color corrections, along with selection techniques for creating composited images. Prerequisite: Working knowledge of Windows and file management. First class in a four class sequence. Cannot substitute with an online course. Software and flash drive required.
